History of World Ministry Fellowship

Established in 1963 by a small group of like-minded ministers, World Ministry Fellowship has grown into an internationally recognized ministry organization with approximately 5,000 members worldwide.

The main office is located in Parker (DFW), Texas, with state, regional and national fellowship opportunities each year.

Originally founded because many ministers who were receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit during the 1960's Charismatic Renewal were often asked to leave their respective fundamental denominations. These spiritually hungry ministers still needed access to ministerial credentials and fellowship, and World Ministry Fellowship was set up to meet these very important needs for ministers all over the globe.

As an organization founded to facilitate the ministry of the Holy Spirit in and through the lives of its members and affiliated churches, WMF has grown from its humble beginnings into a recognized national and international ministry organization.

There is a wealth of wisdom, with many years of ministerial experience, in the men and women that make up the membership of WMF. World Ministry Fellowship has been a stable organization for over fifty years.

WMF functions under the oversight of a 12-member Executive Board, a 21-member Advisory Board, and a 12-member Credentialing Committee, all of whom are mature Christian leaders with proven ministries.

The highlight of the WMF ministry year is the Annual Convocation which is held each July in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Ministers from all over the world come together to be refreshed, refilled, equipped, and energized to more effectively fulfill their call. It is during these times that the Holy Spirit supernaturally links ministers and ministries together to draw from each other. The fellowship is rich, and the friendships developed have proven to be life-changing.

WMF offers local and regional fellowship opportunities in or near your area in addition to our annual Convocation. We encourage you to take part in these important times of fellowship.
